Paul and Janette Peak opened PJP Auto Enterprises in October of 2002. Paul is from a small farming town in Winchester, Illinois. Janette is from the south side of Chicago. What are the odds? A small town boy and big city girl meet in Springfield, Illinois to start their new journey together in the car industry.
It all came about when they were preparing for marriage and Paul was in transition with finding a job. At the request of his bride to be, he went looking for an antique car for Janette and he to ride in after their wedding. He found a guy who had a used car business, specializing in antique cars. Through his inquiry and other visits to this car lot, the owner offered him a job. Upon working there a few months, Paul starting buying and selling cars for the owner and he eventually was able to buy out the business he started working in. With the money Paul and Janette saved, they were able to open up PJP Auto Enterprises, Inc. without having to borrow from a bank. They in turn, have built a thriving pay and drive business which has remained successful based on a combination of simple ingredients: great cars, great service, honesty, and integrity. They keep their overhead low so they can pass their savings onto their customers.
To top it off, they are Christian owned and operated, setting a higher standard that goes beyond how people perceive buy here/pay here businesses or the used car industry.
They have a variety of dependable and reasonably priced pre-owned vehicles. They live by their slogan, “Where We Earn Customer Loyalty”. They have many repeat customers and clients who refer lots of family and friends. Many customers compliment Paul and Janette’s warmth and friendliness, which is also complimented by the ambience of their facility.
Paul loves to golf and Janette loves for them to travel to warm weather destinations. They have three children, Brett, Holly and Erin and four beautiful grandchildren. Brett, their oldest son, works in the business as General Manager.
